Sharon’s Story

A Daughter of the King: Embracing His Love Through Life’s Storms

I grew up learning about Jesus and His incredible love for me. From a young age, I cherished the stories in the Bible that showed how He helped people and shared His unwavering love with everyone. I learned about Adam and Eve’s sin and how it transformed God’s perfect creation into an imperfect world.

One day in Sunday School, my teacher explained that sin is what made the world imperfect—and it makes us imperfect too. As I grasped this truth, I also learned about Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, how His blood cleanses sin, and how forgiveness is freely offered to those who ask. That day, at just six or seven years old, I asked Jesus to forgive me and help me live in His light. I gave my heart to Him.

My journey of faith has been one of growth, love, and learning, but life has not always been easy. I have faced profound sorrow and grief: enduring the pain of a loved one’s severe illness, mourning the loss of a grandchild, feeling betrayed by someone close, and living with the daily struggle of physical pain. Yet, through every trial, Jesus has remained by my side, lifting me up when I am weak. He has taught me about love and trust, comforting me every step of the way. He has never left me.

I find joy in knowing that He is my constant companion—faithfully providing for me, guiding me through the bumps in the road, and showering me with love and peace along the way. Even when Satan tries to steal my joy, Jesus reminds me of the unshakable truth: I am a daughter of the King. Praise God!
