Our Pastor

Interim Pastor Jason Falck

Hello!

I count it a privilege and blessing to serve as the interim pastor of First Baptist Church.

I love getting to know people and hearing their stories. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in ministry and working in a variety of roles—from college campuses to the pulpit, from outside sales to assembling equipment on the night shift at John Deere. My journey has taken me to places like Grand Forks, ND, Minneapolis, MN, my hometown of Waterloo, and even Lyon, France.  Through it all, I’ve seen how God is at work in every season of life. Currently, I live in Waterloo with my wife and two daughters, ages 11 and 9.  I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and walking together in faith.

If I could share one thing with you, it would be this:  We as humans are hard to please.  Give us the world, and we’re soon bored with it!  Only the true God, the one who made heaven and earth, and you, can satisfy our hearts.  And how do we know who this God is, what he is like, and what he wants from us?

The New Testament tells us,  “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”  That means that knowing Jesus is the way to know God.  My prayer is that we might all have our hearts filled to overflowing with his love, that it might spread to those around us, showing how God brings joy like nothing else in this world.
